Originally printed by John Marshall in 1783.Although listed as book II, the first book may have been Fables written in Monosyllables . Illustrated throughout with wood engravings, most of which have been hand coloured by a careful Juvenile hand . Page 21/22 has a large vertical tear and a small couple of corners of pages are missing but not affecting text, however, one corner of the advert page is missing with small loss of text. Bound in contemporary full green calf with gilt decoration, spine a little chipped, else a respectable copy despite all of its faults. Scarce. Miss Sandham
