Bennett, Charles H. 132pp.22 full page, colour illustrations designed and drawn on the wood by Charles H Bennett and engraved by Swain. Contains 22 fables. In original publisher's cloth boards with gilt decorations and black rules (rubbed at edges, very slightly offset, cracked on rear spine joint, rounded at corners, marked especially on verso). Internally some minor spotting not affecting plates, mild tanning to endpapers and a couple of cracked gutters. Small repair to third leaf. Glorious, fine illustrations. A very nice example of this scarce and desirable volume. 4to
