About This Item
New York: Columbia University Press, 1972. First edition, 1972. Multi-color hardcover with matching dustjacket. Very good with good hinges, firm text block, clean pages, just a few scholarly notes written on a small handful of pages and the rear free endpaper. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [8.95] and is also very good with a faded but legible spine. This copy belonged to Marcella Spann, who started visiting Ezra Pound in mid 1956 when he was incarcerated at St. Elizabeth's hospital, and later became his assistant, muse and very close companion, travelling with Pound and his family to live in Italy after his release in 1958. Although her name is not written in this book, the scholarly notes are in her handwriting. The book was purchased from her estate.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
