Underwood-Miller, 1977. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 0x0x0. Stephen Fabian. Signed. Scarce in this signed and numbered edition. Very Good+ hardcover, signed and limited edition from Underwood-Miller, 1977. On the title page: handwritten limitation "96/111" and signed by Jack Vance (author) and Steve Fabian (illustrator). Illustrated map endpapers. Fifteen full page B&W illustrations by Fabian, one of which ("Retreat of the rat-folk") is repeated as the frontispiece. Some smudges to the top edge of the page block, and a pinhead sized dark spot to the lower fore edge. No other writing or marks inside or out; binding is solid and square. Unclipped dust jacket is in Very Good+ to Near Fine condition, with only fault some sunning of the spine. Colors are bright and sharp. Collects seven stories set in Vance's Dying Earth, and featuring the exploits of Cugel the Clever.

Synopsis

The Eyes of the Overworld is a fantasy fixup by Jack Vance published in 1966, the second in the Dying Earth series. It features a series of linked stories detailing the travails of the self-proclaimed Cugel the Clever. In the Vance Integral Edition the book is retitled Cugel the Clever.
