London; 1758., 1758. Hard Cover. THIRD EDITION. No publisher stated. Quarto. [4], xxxii, 292 pp. Engraved frontispiece with vignette of naval motifs and tailpiece engraving. Contemporary full calf with 5 raised bands, gilt titles to red label to spine and decoration in blind to boards. Wear to corners; repair at head of spine with associated small loss to calf at top edge of lower board. Front joint cracked approx 2-inches at top but firm. Edge of front pastedown chipped; foredge dampstained at edge up to [4]; small triangular loss to margin p xxxi (less than 1" and text unaffected)and lower corners creased p 277 onwards, otherwise contents clean and tight. Overall condition Very Good. A useful reference work for the navy, with details of the major treaties and their agreements and regulations relating to trade, rights,duties, punishments including that of pirates, and passports. Scarce.
