FIRST EDITION, 1912, EX LIBRARY. 4to, 280 x 205 mm, 11 x 8 inches, 11 colour plates, 30 black and white plates showing 52 images, drawings in the text, in original publisher's plain boards with printed paper label to spine and upper cover. Binding rubbed, spine darkened, slightly worn at head and tail of spine and corners, top corners slightly bumped, grazed area at tail of spine extending onto both boards, caused by removal of library label, armorial bookplate of New College Library Oxford on front pastedown, small library stamp on front endpaper and at top of title page, 'withdrawn' stamps on endpapers, no library stamps within, 1 small pale stain on background of final colour plate, otherwise a good copy contents clean and bright. This book is a report of the excavations at Mochlos, off the coast of Crete, which the author conducted in the spring and summer of 1908.
