Buenos Aires: Instituto Geografico Argentino, 1883. 1st Edition . Good. 6.5 x 9.25 inches (16.5 x 23.5 cm). Complete with all 55 tinted plates & coloured maps. Quarter green cloth with marbled boards, recent leather title and year label to spine. Binding is strained at p128 but secure. Page 129/130 together with the preceding map is detached - rear of the map is partially stuck to p129 and the text has damage where an attempt has been made to separate them. Light staining to the following plate. Text and plates are mostly clean but with some occasional foxing. Stain with slight damage to front free endpaper where a stamp has been erased. A few pages have minor chipping to the margins. Spanish language. An important early work on the geography and indigenous peoples of Tierra Del Fuego. Overall condition is Good. Size: 6.5 x 9.25 inches (16.5 x 23.5 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: xxvi, [2] (blank), 217, [1] (blank), [1] (Contents)
