Paris: Hippolyte Louis Guerin, 1751. First Edition. Hardcover. Full calf. 4 1/8" x 6 9/16". x, 408p. Book in very good condition. Shelf wear and abrasions present. Corners worn and bumped. Pages 309-14 marked by a burn on bottom outside corner. Some deterioration of spine at bottom. Backed with five raise bands with decorative gilt mostly intact. Otherwise clean and tight and in very good condition. All text in French. Devotional manual that was reprinted from 1751 on into the first third of the 19th century. This first edition in French conducts readers through "exercises of the soul" with regard to receiving the sacraments of Penance and Eucharist.
