First edition. 4to. 8 (advertisements), xiv, 423, (1), (2 errata), (xv)-xx, (425)-447, (1) pp. Uncut with the original boards incorporated into a parchment half binding, possibly in the late 19th century, with endpapers from that time, some leaves with early annotations: p.39 with what appears to be the name Beaumont to the inner margin; p.101 with four initials to the inner margin, possibly "A.J.H.: M."; p.104 with a variation on the printed text from "...or should chrystal tube / Be lodged therein..." to "... or should chrystal cube / Lock in its cells..."; p.112 with a simple spelling correction; p.195 with an additional line of verse inserted in pencil between lines 6 and 7 - "The joy of that pure principle of love". Some wear to the boards, an attractive well margined copy. Healey, 24. With Y1 in the cancelled state and the errata suggesting this is a second state or issue.
