Small smudge on front dj cover. xi, 145 p. w/ archaeological and architectural drawings, maps, 4 charts in rear pocket, and an additional 34 plates with multiple b&w illus. per plate. The 4th and last report on the excavation of the 6th and 7th century Byzantine town of Emporio on the Island of Chios, destroyed in the first great Arab campaign to take Constantinople, lookign at the Basilica and the fortress.
