Black-and-white photographic frontispiece of Moss Deyong. The text is illustrated 17 black-and-white photographs throughout the text. Red coloured cloth boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Bumping and rubbing to the backstrip edges and book corners. Shelfwear to the lower book edges and there is flecking to both the top and lower book edges. Cocking of the spine. Browning and foxing to the text block edges. Light browning and heavy foxing to the endpapers and there is browning and lighter foxing throughout the text. Black-and-white photographic dustwrapper with orange background with white and black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Heavy rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. The dustwrapper edges are heavily chipped, creased and show multiple small tears. The dustwrapper panels are rubbed, show handling marks and sunning. The creases of the dustwrapper also considerable sunning. There is a 2 inch tear to the lower left-hand corner of the front panel. Light browning to the verso of the dustwrapper. The biography and reminiscences of one of boxing's most experienced referees, Moss Deyong. At the time of writing his memoirs he was the oldest licensed boxing referee in the professional circuit with 30 years experience. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
