About This Item
[New York: Published by the author], 1915. Second revised. 8vo; perfect-bound, plain wrappers, 99 pp. A scarce Pro-German account of the causes of the first World War first published in 1914. This revised edition was issued the following year and is expanded by over 30 pages. The author, "a loyal American citizen, proud of his Teutonic birth, lays the blame with Russia, France, and Britain and claims that Germany's victory would be the "triumph of civilization over intrigue and threatened Russian despotism." Some light soiling and offsetting to wrappers, but a VG copy overall. We find three copies of the first edition and 10 of this second edition in OCLC.
