Abolitionists, the religious implications, the public good, and the Fugitive Slave Law are all addressed in what has been termed "a highly important and sophisticated proslavery argument". Author was a friend of Jefferson Davis, a Confederate soldier, and a defender of both the South and Slavery. He became the first editor of the "Southern Review". An original classic pro-slavery book for any African-American library collection.
Condition: This original first edition of Bledsoe's proslavery argument is in very good condition, especially for its age. Original throughout with expected foxing and age-toning of pages.
