Signed and inscribed by the author on the front free-endpaper, "To RAdm. Chaplin in appreciation for your hospitality. Dwight R. Messimer." A good plus copy with bending at the spine ends, minor corner bumps and edgewear. Interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. Dustjacket is also good with sunning/fading to the spine titles and a bit soiling at the folds - minor wear to the panel edges. 266 pp., indexed, bibliography, some black and white photos. The story of Edouard V. Isaacs, Medal of Honor recipient, and his great escape from a World War 1 POW camp.
