Maroon buckram boards with gilt lines to front board, gilt lettering to spine with attractive ship motif of the Silver Library and endpapers with their swan and ship design.Edges are bumped. Spine is a little faded. Pages are rough cut. Spine is a slightly cocked. Two pages are loose but present. Pages are age tanned with occasional foxing. Previous owner's signature on flyleaf. 17 full page illustrations and numerous woodcuts by Speed. 1898
