VERY FINE. 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall. 5" x 3 3/4"; ca. 1889; 16 pp. 6 woodcuts, 4 full-page, 2 in-text, plus portrait of Dr. Bartholomew inside rear cover. Pale green paper covers, black illustrations, designs & lettering on front cover; rear cover lists the Programme. George Bartholomew (b.1833) had a troop of horses which he exhibited. They perform unusual feats without bridles or reins. Front cover 2 small chips, stains; interior 2 small stains margins otherwise clean, unmarked., no chips. VERY GOOD. VERY SCARCE. We know of no other original edition offered for sale. OCLS list 1 copy. o
