New York: Appleton-Century-Crofts, 1957. Hardcover. Very good. 8vo, 815pp,b&w illus throughout. Red cloth cover with stamped title on front cover and gilt title on spine. Original pictorial dj with title in red on front cover and on spine. Spine is sunned so title has faded slightly to orange. Edges of dj are rubbed; top of spine very slightly chipped. Traces the history of Shell Oil from 1912 to the post war period; the author joined Shell in 1943. Internally very good; one small library stamp on ffep and inside back cover.
