London: Printed for J[ohn] Wyat and R. Robinson, [1719]. Leather Bound. Very Good. 5 x 8 3/4 inches. 2 ffep + viii + 1 unnumbered leaf + 181 numbered pages (Part 1) + 176 numbered pages (Part 2) + 3 rfep. Part 2 has separate title page dated 1719. A few old notes in margins and on rfeps. Slight dampstaining and small loss to corners of feps. All edges rouged. Bound in contemporary full brown paneled calf with five raised bands and spine label "Constitut of the Primitive Church" to spine. ESTCT211076. King was Lord Chancellor from 1725-1733, and was interested in church history. This work was frequently quoted by John Wesley in correspondence, and was influential upon his views of the order of the church. A nice copy in a very well preserved Georgian paneled binding.
