Oversized hardcover with dust jacket, 268 pages including "306 illustrations, including 85 plates in full color, drawings and maps"; gorgeous book in dark maroon cloth with an elegant, brilliant embossed gilt rose on front cover and equally very bright and clear gilt lettering on spine, not a hint of shelf wear, tight in binding, overall very gently read, if at all, very clean and unmarked throughout; bright red DJ has no flaws visible to my tired old eyes, front and back cover pictorials very bright and colourful, now in new mylar/paper protector.
