Top edges with a few shallow bumps. Lower front corner moderately bumped. Corner of half-title page has a small fold. Dustjacket with edge wear and moderately faded spine. The introduction deals with the vernacular manuscript tradition and the hand-writing itself in its development. The series of plates is accompanied by full descriptions, transcripts and notes. VG condition in like dustjacket. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good.
