New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1922. First edition, first issue, 8vo, pp. xi, [12]-149; original orange decorative boards (rear cover a bit soiled) printed in red, red spine label printed in blue, top edge red; spine browned, head chipped; bookplate on front pastedown; interior fine. Designed by the author's father-in-law William Nicholson. Leaves 93/4, 97/8, and 133/4 are cancels on tipped in stubs as usual. Higginson A7a, describing the original binding in cream boards, which Graves and Nicholson disliked enough to change at least twice.
