Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Bound in tree-calf leather, gilt-stamped spine and cover decoration with the Hoosac School coat of arms on the front board, marbled text block edges and end papers, bound by Bickers & Son, London, reward of merit on front paste down, inked name and inscription on front flyleaf indicates this book was a reward for the Sanford Prize Essay of 1928. Book includes James Anthony Froude's "Bunyan" published 1908, Edmund Gosse's "Gray" published 1906, and J. Cotter Morison's "Macaulay" published 1903. Corners lightly worn. Quantity Available: 1.
