Gayna Walls, First Printing, Near Fine in Fine dustjacket. Straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings, slight spine-end touches. Dustjacket as new, slight spine-end bumps. Part travelogue, part cultural critique, Schinkel's own account of his Prussian State-sponsored tour of Great Britain and France for the purpose of seeing the factories, bridges, warehouses and museums under construction at the time. The text is augmented by descriptive letters to his wife, numerous illustrations and pages from his journal, and contemporary engravings of the places mentioned.
