Philadelphia, PA: The John C. Winston Company, 1899. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Red cloth, gilt spine titles. Gilt ruled front with England coat of arms. John C. Winston presumed 1st edition, 1899. Top edges gilt. Volume 1 has slight de-lamination of cloth from boards in a few spots and a small nick at head of spine. Volume 2 has lightly bumped bottom corners. Firmly bound, hinges and joints are good. Color railway map of England and Wales is intact in volume 1. Included ribbon markers are detached. No names or markings. Paper-backed cloth dust jackets have some light fading and edge wear. Very Good condition.
