London, UK: Pan Books, 1962. 1st Thus 1st Impression. Soft cover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 1st thus (first printing). 256pp, with black and white plate illustration. In light card wrappers, illustrated. Very gentle edge wear to wrappers; internally a little light toning around page margins, else neat, clean, bright and tight. A nice Pan (x166) with classic cover illustrations. Relates the epic campaigns of Hannibal of Carthage, described as an immortal conqueror and military genius. In May 218 Hannibal set out from Spain with over 100,000 troops - his destination was Rome and his aim was to destroy the Roman Empire.
