New York: Privately Printed for Thomas Nast Fairbanks by The Torch Press, 1915. Limited Edition . Hardcover. VG- (Very Good Minus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. One of 200 copies printed as a Christmas gift for friends of Fairbanks, never sold to the public. Introduction by Charles Mason Fairbanks. Plain beige and dark brown paper over boards with minor edgewear and light soil; spine ends and corners slightly bumped. Binding sound, interior lightly toned with trace soil from handling. Deckle edged pages with "P-M Fabriano Italy" watermark. A bit of brown spotting to rear gutter (due to glue used in binding, it is not foxing). Contains a poem by Thackeray. Not illustrated. Small label to rear pastedown reads "Will Ransom Library Record" and has handwritten inventory(?) number, a Swann auction lot number, date sold and price paid.
