About This Item
New Yokr: The Mysterious Bookshop, 2022 During Christmas holidays in 1993, Otto Penzler's The Mysterious Bookshop on Warren Street in NYC commissioned a short story from mystery writer Donald E. Westlake. The only conditions were that the story was set at Christmas time and that at least part of the story took place in the bookstore. In 2023, Martin Edwards, the award-winning British crime ficition writer, added "End Game" to the collection. First edition, first printing. About 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches, 25 pages with list of previous participating writers including Edward D. Hoch, Ed McBain, Lawrence Block, St.J. Rozan, Lyndsay Faye, Loren D. Estleman and Laura Lippman. Front Cover page shows graphic of holiday fireplace and mantle in green with title and author also in green. Booklet is in "as new" condition with no creases, tears or dogeared corners. No smudges, underling or highlighting. An interesting piece for Edwards collectors or fans of the Mysterious Bookshop.
