The text is illustrated with colour and black-and-white photographs and illustrations. Blue coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Volume 2: – [3], 228, 443, [5] pages, index. Navy blue coloured end pages. The text is illustrated with colour and black-and-white photographs and illustrations. Blue coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustwrappers – showing various forms of military aircraft – with yellow and white coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. Title says it all. Both books show a little rubbing at the edges and very light age toning of the text block edges. The dustwrappers are slightly creased with rubbing to the panels. Fading of the back strips.
