Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1937. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Inscribed "To Eliot with Love from May Feb 10, 1937" on front endpaper. Laid in is a Typed letter signed by Sarton from Aug. 29th, 1984 saying that "I presume that copy of Encounter in April must have been given to Eliot Cabot, an actor who directed a play for the Apprentice Theatre one summer, a company I managed and founded in the thirties..." Letter is in its original envelope with Sarton's return address label and on her stationary. Beige cloth a bit soiled with a few surface scratches, but tight and square. Slight age toning to paper, else unmarked internally and partially unopened. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 2 lbs 0 oz. Category: Poetry; Signed by Author.
