(Boston): unidenitified, 1862. Soft cover. Very Good. Original pamphlet printed in Boston in 186, speech given by Sumnber at Fanueiil Hall on Oct 6, 1862. Measures 14 x 22.5 cm, 23 page, string tied, very nice condition, with (presumably) original or early owner name top of front cover (title page). Uncommon in the marketplace these days. Major Abolitionist rallying cry for freeing slaves so they couid join the Union and battle the Confederacy.With the outbreak of the Civil War in 1861,Sumner forced himself into the inner circle of Abraham Lincoln. He encouraged the President to issue the Emancipation Proclamation, advocated for the creation of all-Black regiments, and played a key role in the passage of the 13th Amendment in the Senate. CIVIL WAR. UNION. CONFEDERACY SLAVERY Uncommon in the marketplace these days.
