Hinges starting but sound, some smudges; covers shelf rubbed and with some bubbling to the cloth on the front; slight lean.. 8vo, [313]pp; blue cloth stamped in gilt on the spine. Autobiographical novel, written ten years before Day's conversion to Catholicism, while she was immersed in the bohemian life of Greenwich Village, and based on her ill-fated love affair that ended with an abortion.
