About This Item
London, England: Collins, 1972. First British Edition . Hardcover. Good/Good. Hercule Poirot returns in the author's 40th mystery featuring the beloved inspector & featuring the final appearance of Adriane Oliver. From the estate of a local mystery lover/author, this is the true FIRST British Edition from Collins, 1972 (see our listin #015970 for a First US Greenway Edition). Unfortunately, it is an ex-library copy, with just a few stamps & markings in the front matter, but overall soiling & wear from handling. A few small stains to outside page edges along top & fore edge; interior is generally very clean; NO writing/underlining/highlighting. The unclipped DJ (with orig. L1.60 price on lower front flap) is VG-: virtually no edgewear, as it has been laminated. Very slight chipping to both ends of spine. Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!

Reviews
On Jan 27 2014, a reader said:
I HAVE ALMOST ALL OF HER BOOKS IN MY COLLECTIONS AND WILL RE READ THEM OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. IN THIS ONE THE SUBJECT IS ONE I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED AND THE ENDING IS REALLY VERY INTERESTING AS I AM INTERESTED IN THE "WHY" OF SOMETHING OR WHAT A PERSON (S) WILL DO. ALL OF OUR LIVES ARE DIFFERENT, YET WE HAVE A COMMON BOND, MAYBE GOOD, MAYBE BAD, BUT IT IS THERE.
