Gift inscription from 1881, signatures and other writing on the front pastedown. Missing the prelims before the title page with the stub remaining, tears on the title page and dedication page impacting the text (about 1/4th of the title page missing). Pages are tanned and foxed, text is otherwise intact and unmarred.
