About This Item
Printed and sold by Darton and Harvey: London, 1795. 2nd Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo, 19thc quarter-leather over marbleized boards, 516p, with binder's instructions and errata and addenda after table of contents. Dedicated "To the Female Sex"; Walker writes, "to enforce the equality of the sexes, some pages of this wrok have been devoted.in asserting the rights of women and on every other moral subject, I have spoken from the language of my heart." Fittingly, the inscription on the fee in old-fashioned script is to "Ann Hardacre from Rachel Endworth". Covers rubbed, leather modestly worn. Internals near fine.
