London: Cooper and Wilson, 1799. Second edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 1799, second edition, with alterations and additions. Hardcover, 8vo., contemporary full calf binding repaired with later leather over the outer hinges. 398 pp., plus ads. Engraved frontispiece of the author plus 3 plates. Very Good. Rear outer hinge cracked, but held together by the leather repair; front inner hinge starting, still secure; minor foxing, generally quite fresh; unmarked. Walker, 1732-1807, was an actor who later became a teacher and author on books about pronunciation, rhyme and elocution.
