Two volumes bound into one. Duodecimo, full mottled calf (leather, hardcover), red calf label, “Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge,” blind-stamped in center of front cover, 48 pp + xii, [i], [i blank], 120 pp. Joseph Holden Pott (1759 - 1847) was a noted Bibliocal scholar and English divine. William Jones (1726 - 1800) Curate of Nayland, known as “Jones of Nayland,” or “Trinity Jones,” was “eminent for learning, piety, and zeal, and his knowledge of music, of which he was an excellent composer.” -- Alliborne. Of his work on the Trinity, Bickersteth says, “One of the most satisfactory defenses of that fundamental doctrine, on the simple testimony of the Holy Scriptures.” -- Christian Student. Very Good; rear joint is rubbed, otherwise clean and tight.
