About This Item
Sampson Low London, 1869 Handsome clamshell slipcase containing the highly decorated chamfer edged edition brought out to exploit the fourteen coloured engravings by Cooper, Clay & Company, a bit of a novelty for the time. Stored inside this clamshell box, made at a later date, has preserved the book and its gilt Victorian binding. At the rear of the book is a facsimile of the fair copy written by the poet.. Hardcover. Near Fine.
