Guilbert Pitman, London, 1905. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good/No Dust Jacket. 300 g; XVI, 120, [8] pages, the last eight pages being advertisements for the books by the publisher. The book is illustrated with 106 in text figures, and is indexed. The illustrations consist of circuit diagrams, and some are engraved illustrations, related to the setting up of electric bells, both for use in houses, and industry, as a warning/summoning device. "The very low price at which such apparatus can be installed, and the facility with which it can be set up and worked, have rendered the use of such devices so general and so indispensable that we may say that we can hardly dine with comfort if the electric bell and a dining room is not working properly." -- page XIV. The original light Brown Cloth, has handling marks, with son minor flecking, and grubbiness which is mainly restricted to the right-hand edge of the front board. Ownership inscription at the top of the front end page which shows offset tanning. Offset tanning and traces of foxing to the rear end pages.. Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover).
