Rubbed and creased, loss to spine. Internally clean and crisp. The first edition of literary editor Lewis Theobald's (bap. 1688, d. 1744) blank verse translation (with the choruses in lyrics) of Sophocles' celebrated Greek tragedy, dedicated to writer and politician Joseph Addison (1672-1719).
