London : Faber & Faber, (1959). First edition. An Eliot play first produced at the Edinburgh Festival in 1958, with Anna Massey, Alec McCowen, etc. - a man of distinction and respect is confronted by his past. Demy 8vo (23cm). 108,[ii],[2]pp. Original red cloth, ruled and lettered in gilt; slight spotting of top edge; endpapers lightly tanned, but a very good copy in the dust-jacket - the jacket price-clipped, just faintly tanned and with a couple of tiny nicks and spots, but also very good. Contemporary (June 1959) gift inscription.
