HarperCollins, London, 2003. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. Light blue coloured endpapers. Double page map, showing " The Land of Dhrall ". At the beginning of the book proper there is a black-and-white illustration -- illustrator not credited. Black coloured boards with silver writing on the spine. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing a sailing ship against a light blue background with darker blue and black writing on the front panel and spine. In the land where 4 elder gods (there are eight in all ) sleep for aeons at a time, an ambitious ruler wishes to become a god, and sets out to kill the sleeping gods. He succeeds, but the land is out of kilter and the sleeping gods are starting to wake ! A little rubbing of the back strip corners and book corners. Uniform tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Some foxing to the text block edges and there is a stain, probably water, to the lower right-hand corner of the pages from approximately page 320 to the end of the book, with staining noticeable to the rear end page and rear paste-down – please see photograph. Some rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels there is stain to the right-hand side of the front panel. Full Number Line. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [8] 424 pages,.
