Folio sized hardcover (probably not quite a true elephant sized folio, but mighty large just the same!). 172 pages of text, with another 50 full page color plates of reproductions. All in addition to over 100 color plates that are tipped in to the text. Minimal wear to the edges of the dustjacket, with a one inch vertical tear at the bottom edge of the front cover at the spine, and associated light shelfwear rubbing. Otherwise, the binding is solid, the edges of the boards are sharp, and the interior is clean and clear of markings. English language edition of the 1969 Italian original edition. Beautifully printed on fine papers, with a handsome use of text. Color separations of the tipped in and full page plates are top notch..
