Very Good. The first opera set to an Irish Libretto. O'Dwyer was a native of Bristol, organist and composer of Irish parents born in 1860. In 1897 he settled in Dublin and was appointed lecturer in Irish music at the University College of Dublin in 1914. This opera was specially composed for The oireachtas in Dublin, 1909. Published by Cramer Wood & Co Dublin. 8vo, 253pp's with publisher's printed decorative covers (c) 1910 first edition. Condition is very clean and unmarked throughout, tightly bound. The cover has a small unpersonalised bookplate pasted inside with spine backstrip slightly worn at the top and bottom edges.
