About This Item

New York: Arbor House, 1982. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine/Near Fine. 8vo., 319pp. Beautiful First Edition, First Printing with full number sequence. Bound in black and red cloth boards. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear. Perhaps a hint at the crown but quite minor. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacker, ($13.50), has a touch of wear at the top tips but is fresh and bright with no creases, chipping or tears. Interesting association copy signed and inscribed by the author on the front end-paper, "For Barry Zeman - Hi, Barry! Best, Lawrence Block". Barry Zeman was the president of the New York chapter of the Mystery Writers Association, MWA. A gorgeous collectable copy of Block's fifth Matthew Scudder title. Made into a 1986 film of the same title starring Jeff Bridges, Rosanna Arquette and Andy Garcia.

Very eloquently written. I don't usually go for books like this, but I really thought it was a well written book that kept me totally engaged.
