Bound in publisher's original blue full cloth blocked with design by David Eccles and housed in decorated red paper-covered slipcase with matching endpapers by Henry Salt (based on columns in the tomb of Set I, Valley of the Kings). Frontispiece features a photography of the statue Ramesses II in the temple of Luxor. Fineblade smooth paper allows crisp images, photographs, and artwork throughout. Maps drawn by Denys Baker.
