With nine full-page hand-colored original woodcuts and one colored woodcut initial by Eduard Ege. 29 x 19 cm. First German edition. One of 300 numbered copies, on handmade, uncut laid paper. Eduard Ege lived in Munich ca. 1898, and was a student of Julius Diez at the Munich School of Applied Arts. He worked as an illustrator for the Georg M¸ller publishing house and the Drei Masken Verlag. A wonderful production. Scarce.
