Generally, the poems take the form of words of herdsmen who talk and sing about love, sex and politics. Introduction by Moses Hadas and with color illustrations by Vertès. Translated into English verse by C. S. Calverley. Sandglass leaflet laid in (New York, no.X: 26). --- In pale green patterned paper-covered boards with image of herdsman in gilt to cover, and backed in light green cloth with gilt titling on green and white spine blocks. Volume wrapped in pale grey paper-covered slipcase. --- A clean, unmarked, tightly-bound copy but with sunned spine. Mild soiling & yellowed edges on structurally sound slipcase.; Quarto - 11 to 13 in. tall; xxvii, 96 pages .
