Spine lettered in gilt, gilt vignette on cover. Light scattered foxing. Corners worn with boards showing. Tissue frontespiece with signature facimiles is intact and not torn. Some staining on front cover. "Echoes from the Cabinet" is a collection of important American documents including the Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, noteworthy slave bills, the Missouri Compromise, and the Nebraska-Kansas Act of 1854. This 1860 second edition features a facsimile of the autographs of the names of signers of the Declaration of Independence as a folding engraving at the front.
