About This Item
NY: Macmillan, 1947. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Stated first edition of the author's first adult novel. She won the Newbery Medal in 1952 for Ginger Pye, and also had three Newbery Honor books. This copy is very good in a very good dust jacket. Neat owner's name on front endpaper; slight soiling at edges of pages. The jacket has numerous small chips and tears at edges, and the top 1/2" of the spine is missing, affecting the author's printed first name. The lower corner of the front flap is clipped, but the $3.00 price is present printed vertically on the flap.
