Straight, tight and clean, gift inscription to front endpaper, light spine-end and corner wear, fading to board edges. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, large chip to top edge of front panel, edge nicks, rubs, fading to spine, a few small spots at rear, in new Brodart sleeve. The much-loved broadcaster and author of nearly 100 previous books presents a collection of twenty-eight of his favorite talks including memories of Sir Edward Elgar, Ellen Terry, Henry James, Going to the Pantomime, The Nineties, and The Vanished Colour and Scent of London.
